Aggregierte Beitragssicht auf dem Network-Portal

03.24.09 | Permalink | Comment?

Installed a plugin for Google Analytics and deactivated it again!

09.14.08 | Permalink | Comment?

Well - just for content optimization purposes - and not yet thinking in terms of selling traffic - it would be nice to have an analytics tool like Google Analytics or other. We have just installed a plugin for the integration of these services on the WPMU sites (so that every blogger can individually decide [...]

Extending XML-RPC on WPMU

07.11.08 | Permalink | Comment?

Sorry - but I don’t know why everybody is ranting about commercial or at least 1.0 software for content publishing - at least those software packages are (in most cases) complete while distributing … not the same with Wordpress MU or at least the XML-RPC part of it. First it misses a core WP method [...]

Is there a Multi-Site Wiki Solution?

07.06.08 | Permalink | Comment?

Yes - I know - for selecting a wiki system I have to look at http://www.wikimatrix.org/. But I don’t have any time left this afternoon - therefore I wanted to post this question out to the web - in the hope that there is somebody reading this who has already tried some kind of [...]

Setup of a Network Entry Point

07.06.08 | Permalink | 1 Comment

Well - I took advantage of the rainy afternoon and set up an entry point towards the “trusted network of experts”. It’s all on the WPMU instance - but I have to say for multi-site purposes Wordpress MU is crappy. Though there are WPMU functions they are limited towards on “site” approach. The usage of [...]

Moving Part 2: Intranet Matters

07.05.08 | Permalink | Comment?

It took some more days because of some serious flooding of my basement office - but now I have moved the blog “Intranet Matters” of our Intranet Management catalyst, Stephan Schillerwein, to this WPMU instance - with that I have installed the latest K2 template (RC 6). K2 allows the use of styles which gives [...]

Moving out on Typo3 and Drupal into WP MU

07.01.08 | Permalink | 1 Comment

So - we have choosen WP MU today as blogging platform - after tryouts with blogging on Typo3 and Drupal failed for our purposes. Why?
Typo3 is our first-choice content management system - and the use of wp for blogging will also not change this. As an old-style content management system it allows you to publish [...]
